Bhubaneswar, June 4: The Odisha government has strengthened coastal security measures along its shoreline to enhance maritime safety and ensure better monitoring of sea routes, officials said.
The initiative focuses on improving surveillance systems, increasing coastal patrolling, and strengthening coordination among security agencies operating along the coast.
Authorities said the upgraded measures are aimed at ensuring the safety of coastal regions while maintaining strict vigilance over maritime movement and enhancing overall preparedness.
Special emphasis has been placed on improving real-time communication between enforcement units and strengthening response capabilities at key coastal points and landing areas.
Officials added that the enhanced framework reflects the state’s continued commitment to safeguarding its coastline and ensuring secure maritime operations through better coordination and monitoring.
The strengthened security arrangements are expected to further improve coastal management and reinforce Odisha’s maritime safety infrastructure.
