Bhubaneswar, June 4: Odisha has secured five National Panchayat Awards at the National Panchayat Awards 2025 ceremony held in New Delhi, marking a proud achievement for the state in grassroots governance and rural development.

Ganjam district received three awards, while Kendujhar and Sundargarh districts were honoured with one award each, reflecting strong performance in local governance, community participation, and service delivery at the grassroots level.
The recognition highlights the success of collective participation, good governance practices, and a sustained commitment to public service at the village level, contributing to Odisha’s broader development goals.
Congratulating the award-winning districts, the Chief Minister expressed appreciation to district administrations, elected representatives, officials, and local communities for their dedicated efforts.
He said the achievement strengthens the state’s resolve to further advance the vision of a developed Odisha through inclusive growth and effective grassroots governance.
The government expressed confidence that such initiatives will continue to expand across districts, further improving service delivery and strengthening rural development outcomes.
