Inspired by the Historic Bakul Bana School, Godabarish Mishra Model Primary Schools to Bring Modern Education to Students

Bhubaneswar,  June 10:  Primary education is the foundation of a student’s life. The stronger the foundation, the brighter the child’s future will be. Therefore, the government has implemented the Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School Scheme for the development of primary education. These schools will be built on the model of the Bakul Bana School established by the Panchasakha at Satyabadi. Children will be educated through modern technology-based learning methods, enabling them to receive the best quality education.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said this while laying the foundation stone for the second phase of the Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School Scheme. At Lokanath Dev Government High School in Kumarbasta, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for 204 model schools.

The Chief Minister stated that the all-round development of the education sector is the government’s highest priority. The implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, PM SHRI schools, Shishu Vatika, Heritage School Scheme, the Shaheed Madho Singh Hat Kharcha Scheme to prevent dropout rates among tribal students, and the Chief Minister’s Nutrition Scheme providing mid-day meals to students from Class I to Class X have significantly strengthened the state’s education system.

He further said that the issue of teacher shortages in the state has been taken seriously. Over the past two years, 26,615 teachers and non-teaching staff have been recruited. Steps have also been taken to recruit 45,000 teachers over the next three years.
