Berhampur, June 10: OPSC Preliminary Examination Conducted Peacefully in Berhampur. The preliminary examination conducted by the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) was successfully held on 6 June 2026 across 15 examination centres in Berhampur city. A total of 6,472 candidates had applied for the examination, which was conducted in two shifts.
Extensive police arrangements were made to ensure security and smooth management of the examination process. Police personnel from Gosaninugaon, Baidyanathpur, Berhampur Sadar, Gopalpur, and Nimakhandi police stations were deployed at various examination centres. In addition, eight APR constables from RI Berhampur were assigned to securely transport the question paper packets from the Special Treasury to the examination centres. Women constables were also deployed at different centres as required.
Senior district police officials, including the Berhampur SP, Additional SP, and SDPOs, visited the examination centres and supervised the security and other arrangements.
No untoward incident was reported during the examination, and the entire process was completed peacefully, securely, and according to the scheduled timetable.
