CM Trophy Zonal Championship Gains Momentum as 46 Kabaddi and Volleyball Players Leave for Boudh and Berhampur to Showcase Their Talent

Malkangiri, June 11:  A total of 46 players from Malkangiri district, including both boys’ and girls’ teams, left today for Boudh and Berhampur to participate in the Under-14 CM Trophy Zonal Inter-District Volleyball and Kabaddi Championship–2026.

Teams from eight districts are participating in both the Boudh and Berhampur zones. The volleyball championship will be held from June 5 to June 6, while the kabaddi championship will begin .
For the volleyball event, 11 boys and 12 girls players from Malkangiri departed for Boudh in a private bus along with boys’ coach Saniya Madkami, manager Bhagataram Nayak, and girls’ coach Sumitra Mohanty.

Similarly, for the kabaddi championship, 11 boys and 12 girls players from Malkangiri traveled to Berhampur in a private bus along with boys’ coach Chittaranjan Harichandan, girls’ coach Chandra Nayak, and manager Parbati Majhi.
The Malkangiri kabaddi team is scheduled to face Koraput and will play against Ganjam and Nabarangpur on June 6. The final match is scheduled  .
During the departure, District Sports Officer Munna Turuk, officials of the district athletic association, and several members were present to encourage the players and wish them success in the championship.
