Friendship Meet Held Under the Auspices of Nabarangpur District Journalists Welfare Trust, Bringing Journalists Together for Interaction and Solidarity

Jharigaon:June 16:   A friendship gathering was organized on Wednesday by the Nabarangpur District Journalists Welfare Trust at the Chandandhara tourist spot under Bada Temara Gram Panchayat in Jharigaon Block of Nabarangpur district.

The event was held under the chairmanship of Jharigaon Block President Sabyasachi Bharatiya. The chief guest was Mrs. Yamuna Muduli, Sarpanch of Bada Temara Panchayat. Among the distinguished guests present were Rajanikanta Pattnaik, President of Chandandhara Shaiva Peetha; Pratap Duria, Jharigaon Block President of the Nabarangpur District Indigenous Scheduled Caste Association; Bimala Majhi, Deputy Sarpanch of Bada Temara; social worker Debisingh Muduli; Himanshu Sekhar Bag, founder of the Nabarangpur District Journalists Welfare Trust; Sekhar Khura, President of the organization; and editor Ashok Sahu, among others.

The program began with worship of Lord Chandaneswar, followed by the singing of the National Anthem. After President Sekhar Khura introduced the guests, members of the organization welcomed them with ceremonial scarves and flower bouquets.

Senior office-bearers of the Trust explained the purpose behind the formation of the organization and its primary objectives. They also highlighted the fundamental issues faced by journalists. During their speeches, the speakers discussed the duties and responsibilities of journalists in society and emphasized the importance of maintaining healthy relationships among journalists, the public, elected representatives, and the administration.

At the conclusion of the event, two social workers—Rajanikanta Pattnaik and Sebak Garada of the Nabarangpur area—were recognized and praised for their selfless service to society. They were presented with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their contributions as social workers.
The program ended with a vote of thanks.
