Bhubaneswar, June 29 (UDN): Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Odisha on July 4, during which he will address a public meeting in Sambalpur, party sources said on Monday.
Shah’s visit assumes significance as it comes amid the BJP government’s first year in office in Odisha and is expected to further strengthen the party’s organisational network in the state.
During his visit, the senior BJP leader is likely to participate in various programmes and interact with party workers and leaders. The highlight of the tour will be a major public meeting in Sambalpur, where Shah is expected to outline the Centre’s developmental initiatives and the state government’s roadmap for Odisha.
Preparations for the high-profile visit are already underway, with senior BJP leaders and local party units reviewing arrangements for the public gathering. Party workers have been mobilised to ensure the success of the event.
Sources said Shah may also hold discussions with state BJP leaders on organisational matters and review the implementation of various welfare and development schemes in the state.
