Jharsuguda, July 3 (UDN): A 42-year-old driver from Jharkhand was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Muchbahal area under Belpahar police station limits in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district on Thursday.
According to preliminary information, the victim was allegedly murdered by unidentified miscreants, who later dumped his body on a public road before fleeing the spot.
Local residents alerted the police after spotting the body, following which it was recovered and sent for post-mortem examination. The exact cause and circumstances of death are yet to be officially confirmed.
Police have launched an investigation to identify those involved and are examining all possible angles, including motive and movement of the victim prior to the incident.
