Bhubaneswar, July 8 (UDN): The Odisha Government has highlighted the growing success of the state’s skilled workforce, stating that investments in skill development are enabling young people to excel in national and international competitions while opening new avenues for employment and entrepreneurship.

The government said Odisha’s expanding pool of skilled talent is making a significant mark across diverse sectors, with youth representing the state at national championships and global platforms and bringing laurels through their achievements.
Highlighting the state’s focus on human capital development, the government said various skill development initiatives have been implemented to equip young people with industry-relevant competencies, enhancing their employability and competitiveness in an evolving job market.
Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the state has reaffirmed its commitment to creating opportunities that enable talented youth to realise their potential. The government said emphasis is being placed on providing quality training, modern infrastructure, industry partnerships and access to emerging technologies to prepare the workforce for future opportunities.
The achievements of Odisha’s youth, the government noted, reflect the success of sustained investments in skill development and the creation of an enabling ecosystem where talent can learn, innovate and excel.
The statement was issued as part of the government’s outreach highlighting two years of progress in skill development under the “Lokanka Sarakar” initiative. According to the government, continued focus on skilling, innovation and employment generation will remain central to Odisha’s vision of inclusive and sustainable development.
Officials said the state will continue to strengthen its skill ecosystem to ensure that Odisha’s youth remain globally competitive while contributing to the state’s economic growth and development.
