Bhubaneswar, July 9 (UDN): The Government of Odisha has announced that admission fees paid by students who secured admission to Regular Mode Courses in eligible higher education institutions during the first round of admissions will be refunded.

As per the government’s decision, the refund amount will be directly credited to the bank account provided by the applicant in the Common Application Form (CAF) during the admission process. The initiative is part of the state’s implementation of free education from KG to PG, aimed at eliminating financial barriers to higher education.

Eligible students are advised to ensure that the bank account details furnished in their CAF are accurate and active to facilitate seamless transfer of the refund. The Higher Education Department will process the refunds through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring transparency and timely disbursement.
The move is expected to benefit thousands of students across Odisha and reinforces the state’s commitment to making higher education affordable, accessible, and inclusive for all.
