With the objective of spreading awareness about various legal provisions and welfare schemes, the District Legal Services Authority organized a Legal Awareness Camp in Nabarangpur.

Nabarangpur, July 15 [UDN}: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Nabarangpur, organized a Legal Awareness Camp at the B.Ed. College, Nabarangpur, for students of the National Cadet Corps (NCC).

The programme was conducted under the direction of Shri Sangram Keshari Pattnaik, Chairman of the District Legal Services Authority, Nabarangpur, and District Judge of the district.

The chief guest of the event, Ms. Sai Abhipsa Gochhayat, Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority, addressed the students on various legal issues, including the Protection of Women from Sexual Harassment at the Workplace Act, the provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, awareness regarding the NALSA SPRUHA Scheme-2025, and laws related to dowry prohibition and awareness initiatives.

Other distinguished guests included Colonel Sunil Kumar, Commanding Officer of the 13(O) NCC Battalion, Nabarangpur; Ms. Manorama Majhi, social worker; Raj Kishore Nag, Deputy Chief Legal Aid Defense Counsel, Nabarangpur; Subedar Major Mallik of the 13(O) NCC Battalion, Nabarangpur; along with Para Legal Volunteers and panel lawyers.

The programme was successfully organized and conducted by the District Legal Services Authority, Nabarangpur, with the objective of creating legal awareness among NCC cadets and encouraging them to become responsible and informed citizens.
