Annual Celebration Held at DIET Nabarangpur as Students and Teachers Come Together to Mark the Special Occasion

Nabarangpur, July 24 UDN}:  The annual function of the District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Nabarangpur, was held with great enthusiasm under the chairmanship of Dr. Omkar Pattnaik.
Odisha School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond attended the event as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of the National Education Policy (NEP) and the need for its effective implementation. He spoke about the role of the policy in bringing positive changes and reforms to the education system.
Nabarangpur MLA Gaurishankar Majhi, who is also the Chairman of the District Planning Board, spoke about India’s glorious educational tradition and the significance of the teacher-student relationship. Other distinguished guests included District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, social worker Jagannath Mahapatra, and Rakesh Gupta.
As the Chief Speaker, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, a recipient of the President’s Award for Teachers, shared his views on the reforms introduced in the education system through the National Education Policy and its positive impact on the field of education.
The guests were welcomed and felicitated with bouquets and traditional shawls. Students presented a welcome song as part of the programme. For their outstanding contributions to the education sector, District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, Dr. Pradeep Kumar Mishra, and Kalucharan Maharana were felicitated on the occasion.
During the event, the institute’s publication and a podcast titled “Prashnapoka” were also launched. Students who had excelled in various competitions were awarded prizes in recognition of their achievements.
In the afternoon, a colourful cultural programme was organised and presented by the students. The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks.
