Jeypore, July 28 UDN}: A new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) plant is set to be established in Jeypore, bringing a major clean-energy and waste-management initiative to the region. The proposed plant will produce gas from waste materials, helping convert waste into a useful source of energy while also contributing to better waste management and environmental sustainability.
A private company is expected to invest around ₹100 crore in the project. Under the proposed arrangement, the state government will provide 10 acres of land for setting up the plant and developing the required infrastructure.
The project is expected to promote the utilisation of waste for energy generation, reduce the burden of waste disposal, and create new opportunities in the clean-energy sector. The establishment of the CNG plant could also contribute to the development of Jeypore as an emerging centre for sustainable and environmentally friendly energy solutions.
