Bhubaneswar: July 30 UDN}:In a significant step toward promoting financial literacy and investment awareness, students enrolled in higher educational institutions across Odisha will soon study the Stock Market as part of their academic curriculum. The initiative aims to equip college and university students with practical knowledge of financial markets, investing, trading, wealth creation, and the functioning of the economy.
The proposed curriculum is expected to introduce students to the basics of the stock market, including shares, bonds, mutual funds, market indices, risk management, and investment strategies. It will also help students develop essential financial decision-making skills and encourage responsible investing from an early stage.
Education experts believe that introducing stock market education at the higher education level will prepare students for real-world financial challenges, enhance their employability, and promote entrepreneurship and financial independence. The move is expected to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical financial knowledge, enabling students to make informed investment decisions in the future.
