Historic Achievement for Koraput as Traditional Dhemsa Dance Sets a Guinness World Record, Celebrating the Cultural Identity of Odisha’s Tribal Communities

Bhogapuram, Aug 4 [UDN}:  History was created in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as more than 13,000 girl students delivered a spectacular performance of the traditional Koraputia Dhemsa dance at Bhogapuram, Andhra Pradesh.

Dancing gracefully to the popular Koraput folk song “Kotiaru Betiana…”, the participants showcased Odisha’s rich tribal heritage and vibrant cultural traditions on a global stage. This remarkable achievement has earned a place in the Guinness World Records, giving Odisha’s unique cultural identity a new level of international recognition and pride.
