Flood Situation Reviewed by Chief Minister During Aerial Assessment as Administration Intensifies Relief Operations for Affected Communities

Bhubaneswar, Aug 5 [UDN}:Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas to review the current flood situation in Odisha. After the assessment, the Chief Minister informed that nearly 8 lakh people have been affected by the floods, while more than 2.67 lakh people have been evacuated and shifted to safer locations.
The government has set up over 700 relief centres across affected areas and has arranged medical teams, cooked food distribution, and essential emergency assistance for the people in distress.
The Chief Minister stated that the government is keeping a close watch on the flood situation and all necessary measures are being taken to ensure the safety and well-being of affected residents. He further assured that once the floodwaters recede, damage assessment will be carried out immediately and compensation and relief assistance will be provided to the affected people without delay.
