Koraput , Aug 5 [UDN}:A preparatory meeting for the grand celebration of the 80th District-Level Independence Day-2026 was held under the chairmanship of the District Collector of Koraput. The meeting discussed various arrangements and preparations required for the smooth and successful organization of the national celebration.
During the meeting, detailed discussions were held regarding the venue arrangements, security measures, traffic management, cultural programmes, participation of government departments, school and college students, parade preparations, cleanliness drives, decoration of the celebration area, and other important aspects related to the Independence Day programme.
The District Collector directed all concerned departments and officials to complete their assigned responsibilities within the scheduled time and ensure that the celebration is conducted in a dignified, disciplined, and memorable manner. Special emphasis was given to maintaining proper coordination among all departments for the successful execution of the event.
Officials present at the meeting shared their suggestions and reviewed the progress of various preparations. The administration also stressed the importance of involving the public and encouraging greater participation in the celebration of the nation’s 80th Independence Day.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from all stakeholders to work together for the successful organization of the district-level Independence Day celebration in Koraput.
