Rasulpur, Aug 20 [UDN}: At a meeting held at Bhujasamantrapur under Rasulpur block, speakers called for greater attention to the overall development and welfare of weavers. The meeting was presided over by Jayadurga Taruba Cooperative Society President Sridhar Behera.
Deputy Assistant Registrar of the Handlooms and Textiles Department Bijay Kumar Nayak attended as the chief guest, while social worker Batakrishna Sahu, educator Sushant Maharana and others were present as invited guests. They emphasized the need to ensure the comprehensive development and welfare of the weaving community.
Weavers Pramod Behera, Bipin Chanda and Tapan Behera, among others, helped organize the programme.
