Road Safety Campaign Reaches Schools and Colleges Across Malkangiri as Authorities Focus on Creating Greater Awareness About Responsible Road Use

Bhubaneswar,  Sept 10 [UDN}:  On the direction of the Malkangiri District Collector, the District Education Office organised road safety awareness programmes across all schools and colleges in the district. The initiative aimed to educate students about the importance of responsible road behaviour and strict adherence to traffic rules.

As part of the campaign, students took a road safety pledge and participated in discussions highlighting the importance of wearing helmets and using seat belts while travelling. Various awareness activities were also conducted, including drawing and speech competitions based on the message, “Drive Slowly, Stay Safe.”

The programmes sought to create greater awareness among young people about road safety and encourage them to become responsible road users. Students were urged to follow traffic regulations, avoid rash and careless driving, and inspire their families and communities to adopt safer practices on the roads.

The district administration appealed to everyone to make road safety a shared responsibility by obeying traffic rules and taking necessary precautions while travelling.

Let us all follow traffic rules, protect ourselves and keep society safe. Drive slowly, stay alert and stay safe.
