TPCODL Takes Solar Energy Awareness Campaign to Pipili Villages Through ‘Solar Rath’ Initiative to Encourage Clean Energy Use

Pipili , Sept 22 [UDN}:The Solar Rath initiative of TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has reached various gram panchayats across Pipili Block in Puri district, carrying the message of clean and renewable energy to rural communities. Through this outreach campaign, TPCODL’s ‘Solar Saathi’ representatives are engaging directly with local residents and creating awareness about the benefits of adopting solar power for household electricity needs.

During the awareness drive, people are being informed about the advantages of installing rooftop solar systems, including the potential to reduce electricity expenses and make greater use of renewable energy. The Solar Saathi teams are also explaining the government subsidy provisions available to eligible consumers under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, along with the procedure for applying for the scheme.

The campaign is aimed at ensuring that residents, particularly those in rural and semi-urban areas, have access to accurate information about rooftop solar installations and the financial support available from the government. Officials and awareness teams are explaining the application process, eligibility-related information and other key aspects so that interested households can make informed decisions about adopting solar energy.

TPCODL has been undertaking extensive public-awareness activities to ensure that the benefits of the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana reach a larger section of the population. The Solar Rath serves as a mobile awareness platform, taking information directly to communities and encouraging households to explore the use of solar power.

Through such grassroots-level campaigns, TPCODL is seeking to bridge the information gap surrounding rooftop solar systems and government assistance, while encouraging wider participation in renewable-energy initiatives.
