Bhubaneswar, Sept 26 [UDN}:Odisha’s rich and diverse cultural heritage has emerged as a major attraction in this year’s Prime Minister’s Souvenir E-Auction, with a wide range of traditional artworks and handicrafts from the state finding a place among the commemorative items.
The collection features exquisite artworks depicting Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, along with Pattachitra paintings portraying the famous Puri Rath Yatra. Traditional Cuttack silver filigree (Tarakasi), Sambalpuri Ikat and traditional artworks associated with Maa Samaleswari of Sambalpur are also among the featured items.
A total of 62 souvenirs representing Odisha’s diverse artistic and cultural traditions have been included. The collection showcases the state’s distinctive art, craftsmanship, festivals and age-old cultural traditions, highlighting the richness and diversity of Odisha’s intangible and material heritage.
The inclusion of these traditional creations in the Prime Minister’s souvenir e-auction provides wider visibility to Odisha’s renowned handicrafts and cultural expressions while showcasing the skills and heritage of its artisans to a broader audience.
