Kosagumuda, Sept 26 [UDN}: A review meeting was held at Kosagumuda Block in Nabarangpur district under the chairmanship of District Planning Board Chairman and Nabarangpur MLA Gouri Shankar Majhi to assess preparedness for a possible flood situation.
The meeting focused on strengthening preventive measures and ensuring a coordinated response in the event of flooding. The district and block administrations have been put on alert, while officials of all line departments have been instructed to remain fully prepared to deal with any emergency.
The preparedness measures include close monitoring of vulnerable areas, coordination among departments, arrangements for evacuation and relief operations, and ensuring prompt response in case of rising water levels or disruption caused by heavy rainfall.
Officials stressed the need for continuous ground-level monitoring and coordinated action so that necessary assistance can reach affected people without delay.
