Jaleswar,Oct 5 [UDN}: A blood donation camp was organised by the Sheetala Mata Yatra Committee at Rela village under Paschimabad Gram Panchayat in Jaleswar block of Balasore district.
The camp was organised in collaboration with the District Blood Donors’ Association and Sambad–Ama Odisha. District Blood Donors’ Association president Kamal Kumar Chakraborty inaugurated the programme and encouraged people to come forward to donate blood.
Nityananda Jena, Ramashankar Acharya, Bijay Jena, Dilip Das Adhikari, Kalicharan Raul, Santosh Das Adhikari and Ramesh Acharya attended the programme as guests and motivated the blood donors.
Staff from the Balasore Blood Centre collected blood during the camp. A total of 16 units of blood were collected from donors.
North Balasore Sambad representatives Satyabrata Pradhan and Laxmidhar Barik, along with all members of the Sheetala Mata Yatra Committee, actively assisted in conducting the camp.
