Malkangiri: Oct 6 [UDN}:A joint team comprising officials from the Malkangiri district administration, Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC), faculty members of Utkal University and architecture experts today visited the famous tourist destination of Sita Kund in the Bonda Hills to assess the existing physical infrastructure and explore possibilities for its comprehensive development.
During the visit, the team conducted an on-site review of the available facilities and infrastructure at the tourism site. The District Collector emphasised the need to preserve the natural beauty and ecological character of Sita Kund while developing modern and visitor-friendly amenities.
Special focus was placed on preparing an environment-friendly master plan that would ensure sustainable tourism development without adversely affecting the surrounding natural environment. The proposed development is expected to improve basic tourist facilities, accessibility and infrastructure while retaining the unique natural appeal of the destination.
The district administration, OTDC, academic experts and architectural specialists are expected to work together in planning the future development of the site. With systematic infrastructure development and sustainable tourism planning, Sita Kund is envisaged to emerge as one of the major tourism destinations of Odisha in the coming days.
