Bhubaneswar, Oct 27 [UDN}: Under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) organised a ‘Seva Setu’ awareness camp at Kantapal Gram Panchayat in Kamakhyanagar Block of Dhenkanal district, Odisha, to educate electricity consumers at the grassroots level about rooftop solar energy and its benefits.
The initiative aimed to encourage households to adopt solar energy as a clean, sustainable and cost-effective source of electricity. During the camp, consumers were informed about the various advantages of installing rooftop solar systems, including the potential to reduce electricity bills, promote renewable energy use and contribute to environmental protection.
Special emphasis was placed on creating awareness about the availability of government subsidies for rooftop solar installations. Consumers were also provided with information about the eligibility criteria, benefits of the subsidy scheme and the application procedure for accessing financial assistance.
Through the ‘Seva Setu’ initiative, TPCODL is making efforts to bring essential information about government-backed energy initiatives closer to rural communities, enabling consumers to understand the opportunities available to them and make informed decisions about adopting solar power.
The awareness programme under the broader ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ reflects the importance of community-level outreach in promoting renewable energy, expanding public participation in clean energy initiatives and encouraging the adoption of rooftop solar solutions across Odisha.
