9th December 2024: In line with the state government’s commitment, farmers are being provided a minimum support price (MSP) of ₹2300 per quintal for rice, along with an additional ₹800 input subsidy. As a result, within 48 hours of rice procurement, farmers will receive ₹3100 per quintal.

Dr. Mukesh Mahaling, the Minister, attended an event in Kalahandi district, where he was the chief guest for the distribution of the extra ₹800 input subsidy on the MSP of rice. The ceremony was attended by several distinguished guests, including the district’s Member of Parliament, legislators, the District Council Chairperson, and the District Collector.
Today, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi launched the distribution of the additional ₹800 input subsidy along with the MSP of rice at Sohala in Bargarh district, marking the start of this crucial support initiative for local farmers.
