11th June 2025: As Odisha completes 100 years since its formation, the state has set its sights on a bold and hopeful future. The government has launched an ambitious initiative to transform Odisha into a developed and prosperous state by the year 2036. But this is not just a vision on paper—it’s a journey shaped by the voices and ideas of the people.

To guide this transformation, a comprehensive Vision Document is being prepared. What makes this effort special is that it’s not limited to policymakers alone. Experts, researchers, intellectuals, and citizens from all walks of life have come together to share their insights and suggestions. This collaborative spirit aims to ensure that the roadmap for Odisha’s future reflects the needs and aspirations of its people.

A major milestone in this journey was the discussion forum titled ‘Good Governance and Developed Odisha 2036 & 2047’, held at the Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan. Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi joined the event and participated in meaningful conversations with participants across sectors. He highlighted the importance of clear planning, community involvement, and strong leadership in driving long-term development.

The Chief Minister stressed that the ideas shared during these sessions would directly shape the final Vision Document. Once finalized, it will not only define the goals for Odisha’s growth but also be backed by a practical and actionable plan to achieve them.

This initiative marks the beginning of a new chapter for the state. By combining good governance with people-driven planning, Odisha is preparing to take confident steps toward a brighter, more inclusive future.

The journey ahead is challenging, but with collective effort and shared commitment, a truly developed Odisha by 2036 is not just possible—it’s within reach.
