11th June 2025: On the occasion of completing one year in office, Odisha Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi addressed a press conference held at Geeta Govinda Sadan in Bhubaneswar. Speaking directly to the media, the Chief Minister outlined the major achievements of the state government over the past year, emphasizing progress in women empowerment, agriculture, education, and healthcare.

One of the major highlights was the creation of 17 lakh “Lakhpati Didis”, under a focused initiative to economically empower women through self-help groups and skill-based support systems. He also spoke about the ‘Samruddha Krushi Yojana’, a comprehensive agricultural strategy aimed at improving farm productivity and farmers’ incomes.
In the education sector, the Chief Minister announced the establishment of Godabarish Mishra Adarsha Vidyalayas, a model school initiative inspired by the legendary freedom fighter and educationist. The state has also started implementing the New Education Policy (NEP) to modernize and reform the learning framework across Odisha.
Addressing healthcare, he highlighted the implementation of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, aimed at expanding access to quality medical care for all, especially for economically disadvantaged families.
Throughout the interaction, Shri Majhi responded to various questions from journalists, reaffirming the government’s commitment to transparency, inclusive growth, and good governance.
The event served not only as a reflection on the government’s accomplishments but also as a reaffirmation of its roadmap for Odisha’s continued development.
