Drawing inspiration from the culinary traditions of Nepal, Uttarakhand, Tibet and Bhutan, The Himalayan Trail showcases the rich gastronomic heritage of the Himalayan region through an authentic and thoughtfully curated à la carte menu. Rooted in the philosophy of ‘Mountain to Plate’, the festival celebrates the resilience and ingenuity of mountain communities, where generations of culinary wisdom have evolved in harmony with nature, embracing ancient culinary practices such as foraging, fermentation and preservation, while spotlighting indigenous ingredients including Jakhiya, Timur, Shamu, Mandua, Dalle chilli and Ema, each lending distinctive flavours, textures and depth to the dining experience.
Meticulously curated by the hotel’s culinary team, the festival brings together traditional recipes and authentic regional ingredients to offer guests a rare opportunity to explore the diverse flavours of the Himalayan belt. Every dish has been crafted to preserve the integrity of its origin while showcasing the culinary finesse synonymous with Taj.
The menu features an array of signature delicacies like Nepali Jhol Momo, Datshi, Tibetan Thukpa, Rajma NH 7, Bhaang Ki Chutney, and Jasha Maru, each representing the distinctive culinary identity of the region and offering diners an immersive taste of the mountains.
