Mumbai, May 18 : Mrunal Khimji Label, the eponymous label of Muscat-based designer and entrepreneur Mrunal Khimji, has announced the launch of its latest collection, Zuhur, a 15-piece, made to order summer occasion wear edit that arrives as the brand deepens its presence in the Indian market.
Named after the Arabic word for “blooming,” Zuhur is a collection born from the belief that occasion wear should feel both elevated and enduring. Rooted in the label’s signature philosophy of slow, conscious design, the collection brings together fluid silhouettes, shirts, gilets, pants, and co-ord sets, each adorned with intricate hand embroidery that speaks to the richness of Indian craft traditions. Fabrics like Korean Crepe form the refined foundation of the collection, while surface detailing, delicate daisy motifs, bead work, and hand-wrought embellishment, gives each piece its unique character.
Zuhur is the label’s second collection, following its debut edit Lehren, and arrives as Mrunal Khimji Label continues to grow its presence in India. Standout pieces from the collection include Embroidered organza side tie-up bib set featuring floral and bead embroidery on a fluid Korean Crepe and Giza Cotton base, designed to elevate any outfit with understated confidence, alongside a series of festive separates that balance surface richness with clean, wearable silhouettes.
Zuhur is designed for the modern woman who dresses with intention. The pieces are versatile by design: a hand-worked bib, transitions effortlessly from a festive gathering to a dressed-up evening; an embroidered shirt pairs as naturally with wide-leg trousers as it does with tailored separates. Behind the collection is designer and entrepreneur Mrunal Khimji, who has spent nearly two decades championing Indian craftsmanship. Since founding Mrunal’s Boutique in Muscat in 2007, she has played a central role in bringing Indian textiles, design, and artisanship to a discerning Gulf clientele. The launch of her eponymous label in 2024 offered her the opportunity to translate that long-standing admiration into a design language entirely her own.
