Bhubaneswar, March 3: The nine-day Subhadra Shakti Mela 2025 concluded at Janata Maidan, drawing over nine lakh visitors and generating ₹5 crore in business. The event showcased products from 300 self-help groups (SHGs) across Odisha, including handwoven textiles, organic food, and eco-friendly items.

Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida attended the closing ceremony and honored top SHG entrepreneurs. Maa Vaishnodevi PG from Kalahandi, with ₹6 lakh in sales, received a special cash prize. The mela emphasized women’s financial empowerment and featured a cultural celebration with Sambalpuri music and dance.
The event reinforced its role as a key platform for promoting women-led businesses and self-reliance.
