10th December 2024: Retail vehicle sales in India grew by 11.21% in November, totaling 32,08,719 units, driven mainly by strong demand for two-wheelers, according to the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). Two-wheeler sales surged by 15.8%, reaching 26,15,953 units, fueled by the festive season spillover.
However, passenger vehicle (PV) sales declined by 13.72% to 3,21,943 units, due to weak market sentiment, fewer new launches, and the shift of festive demand into October. Commercial vehicle sales also fell by 6.08%, while three-wheeler sales increased by 4.23%.
Looking ahead, FADA’s outlook for December remains cautious, with potential growth in two-wheelers driven by discounts and steady rural demand.
