Sep 18: More than 51,000 young people are set to take an important step forward in their careers as Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributes appointment letters to newly recruited government employees at the 20th Rozgar Mela on September 19.
The programme, scheduled to be held through video conferencing at 12:30 p.m., will connect the Prime Minister with newly selected candidates across the country. The event will be organised simultaneously at 45 locations, reflecting the nationwide scale of the recruitment initiative.
The recruits will take up responsibilities across a range of Central Government departments and ministries, including Railways, Revenue, Home Affairs, Health and Family Welfare, Financial Services and Defence.
For thousands of young candidates, receiving an appointment letter marks more than the completion of a recruitment process. It represents the beginning of a professional journey, greater financial stability and an opportunity to contribute to public services that directly affect citizens.
The Rozgar Mela initiative also highlights the importance of bringing fresh talent into government institutions. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, with the latest edition, the cumulative number of appointment letters distributed through Rozgar Melas is expected to reach around 12.75 lakh.
