Samanta expressed his optimism about the technology, highlighting its potential to save lives by offering advanced breast cancer screening to people in Odisha. The 3D mammography system provides high-resolution imaging with minimal radiation exposure. It uses dual-mode tomosynthesis to capture detailed images of breast tissue from multiple angles, giving doctors a clearer, three-dimensional view that enhances diagnostic accuracy.

A standout feature of the new machine is its flat-panel detector, which allows for quicker, low-dose exams while maintaining high-quality results, ensuring a more comfortable experience for patients. This technological addition is set to transform breast cancer detection and improve patient care in the region.
