All rural water supply and sanitation divisions have been instructed to guarantee the availability of clean drinking water. Within just three days, over 1,01,629 water sources have been disinfected across affected areas.
Efforts are ongoing to regularly purify tube wells and overhead water tanks (OHTs) in the impacted villages. Senior officials, including departmental secretaries and directors, are closely monitoring the situation with regular district-level reviews.
Top engineers and field officers are conducting on-ground inspections to assess conditions and ensure timely intervention.
The Odisha government remains firmly committed to protecting rural health and preventing the spread of diarrhoea through proactive and sustained efforts.
