Advanced Emergency Treatment Facilities and Patient Management Systems Reviewed by Mukesh Mahaling During Visit to JPN Apex Trauma Center

Bhubaneswar, May 25:  Mukesh Mahaling had the opportunity to visit the Department of Emergency Medicine at the JPN Apex Trauma Center in New Delhi. On this occasion, he closely observed the advanced treatment systems, emergency patient management, and infrastructure facilities there.

In Odisha, there is a strong need to strengthen an integrated emergency and trauma care system to effectively address emergency health issues such as road accidents, heart attacks, strokes, and snake bites.

In this context, discussions were held to include one district of Odisha as a pilot project under the ICMR National Health Priority Project (NHRP), which is being implemented under the expert leadership of Professor Sanjeev Bhoi. If this successful model is implemented in our state, it can later be expanded across the whole of Odisha and help save thousands of valuable lives in the future.
