‘Annapurna’ Scheme Cleared by West Bengal Cabinet; Eligible Women to Receive Financial Support and Free Bus Rides

West Bengal, May 23:  The West Bengal Cabinet’s approved“Annapurna” scheme, under which eligible women will receive monthly financial assistance of ₹3,000 starting June 1. Along with this, it has also been announced that women will be allowed free travel in government buses from next month.

“According to the verdict of  the government has also cancelled the existing state OBC list and will form a committee to determine reservation eligibility,” said Minister Agnimitra Paul.
