Bhubaneswar, July 1 (UDN): ARSS Infrastructure Projects Ltd has secured a ₹21.46 crore contract to upgrade a key road corridor in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district, a project expected to improve connectivity and facilitate smoother transportation for thousands of commuters.
The project includes the widening and strengthening of the road connecting Dengapola, Jantakothi, Podana, Tandikul, Naulo, Sorishpokhari, and Champahat. Covering a stretch of 14.647 kilometres, the upgraded road is expected to provide safer travel, reduce commute time, and improve access for residents, businesses, and transporters.
The work has been awarded by the Jagatsinghpur Roads and Buildings Division under the State Plan and will be executed in accordance with prescribed engineering and safety standards.
Once completed, the project is expected to enhance regional connectivity, support the movement of agricultural produce and commercial goods, and contribute to the district’s infrastructure development. Improved road conditions are also expected to benefit local communities by providing more reliable access to markets, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities.
Construction will be carried out under the supervision of the Roads and Buildings Division, with regular quality inspections and phased payments linked to the completion of project milestones.
