Puri: July 24 UDN}:The rituals for the Bahuda Yatra, the return journey of Lord Jagannath and the sibling deities, will begin early today at the Gundicha Temple in Puri.
According to the schedule, the Mangal Alati will be performed at the Gundicha Temple at 4:00 AM.
Following the morning rituals, the Pahandi ceremony for the deities is scheduled to take place between 12:00 noon and 2:30 PM.
After the completion of the Pahandi rituals and the deities being ceremonially brought out to their respective chariots, preparations will begin for the return journey.
The chariot pulling ceremony is scheduled to commence at 4:00 PM.
Thousands of devotees are expected to gather in Puri to witness the auspicious Bahuda Yatra and seek the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra.
The return journey marks an important phase of the annual Rath Yatra celebrations, as the three deities begin their journey back from the Gundicha Temple towards the Shree Jagannath Temple.
Devotees and visitors have been advised to follow the administration’s instructions and cooperate with the authorities during the religious procession and the large gathering.
