Bargarh, Aug 10 [UDN}: The sixth annual celebration and friendship meet of the Western Odisha Web Media Association was held at the Yadumani Pradhan Auditorium in Bargarh. Several prominent dignitaries, including Bargarh MLA Ashwini Sarangi, Atabira MLA Nihar Ranjan Mahananda, Padampur MLA Barsha Singh Bariha, Bhatli MLA Irashish Acharya, and Congress leader Nipon Dash, attended the programme and praised the activities of the association.
The dignitaries appreciated the association’s efforts towards protecting the interests of journalists of Western Odisha, promoting unity among media professionals, and supporting their professional growth. They stated that the association’s initiatives in strengthening the web media community were highly commendable.
During the event, speakers also highlighted the foundation stone laying ceremony for a journalists’ building in Bargarh city, describing it as a historic step for the journalist community of the region.
Hundreds of web journalists, media representatives, public representatives, social activists, and eminent personalities from various districts of Western Odisha participated in the grand event.
Several social organisations were also felicitated during the programme for their outstanding contributions and commendable social service activities. The celebration concluded with a message of unity, cooperation, and further development of journalism in Western Odisha.
