Bhubaneswar, Oct 28 [UDN}: A Kalyan Mandap (community hall) constructed under the Bikashita Gaon, Bikashita Odisha (BGBO) scheme at Tankol village in Tangi Block of Khordha district has emerged as a valuable community infrastructure facility for local residents.
The facility will provide villagers with a convenient venue to organise a wide range of social functions, marriage ceremonies, cultural programmes and other community gatherings. The availability of a dedicated community hall is expected to make such events easier to organise while strengthening social interaction, community participation and cultural activities in the village.
The construction of the Kalyan Mandap reflects the importance of developing essential community facilities in rural areas. Such infrastructure can help create better opportunities for villagers to come together, celebrate important occasions and preserve their cultural traditions in a suitable and accessible environment.
Under the BGBO initiative, the development of village-level infrastructure aims to improve rural amenities and contribute to the overall progress of communities across Odisha. The Kalyan Mandap at Tankol stands as an example of efforts to strengthen basic facilities and support the social development of rural residents.
Developed Villages, Empowered Communities and a Prosperous Odisha — another step towards a stronger and more developed rural Odisha!
