Bhubaneswar: Sept 29 [UDN}:Senior Biju Janata Dal (BJD) leader Ramesh Chandra Majhi has been appointed as the Advisor to the BJD Tribal Cell, marking a significant organisational responsibility for the veteran leader within the party’s tribal affairs wing.
The appointment places Majhi in an advisory role in matters concerning the party’s engagement with tribal communities and organisational activities related to tribal affairs. As Advisor to the Tribal Cell, he is expected to contribute his political experience and understanding of tribal issues to strengthen the party’s organisational outreach among tribal communities across Odisha.
Ramesh Chandra Majhi has been associated with Odisha politics for several years and has held important responsibilities in public life. His new appointment is part of the BJD’s organisational arrangements aimed at strengthening its various cells and wings and ensuring greater coordination on issues concerning different sections of society.
The BJD Tribal Cell focuses on matters related to tribal communities, their socio-economic concerns, welfare, rights, development and representation. The appointment of Ramesh Chandra Majhi as its Advisor is expected to bring his experience into the functioning and activities of the cell.
The development comes amid the party’s continuing efforts to strengthen its organisational structure and grassroots-level engagement across Odisha.
