Boudh Hit by Heavy Rain, Roads Submerged and Cut Off

July 4 (UDN): Heavy and continuous rainfall has thrown normal life out of gear in Odisha’s Boudh district, with waterlogging and overflowing streams disrupting movement across several areas.

The Kantamal–Sagada road has been submerged in multiple stretches, cutting off connectivity and making travel extremely difficult for residents. In several villages, people are struggling to move through flooded paths and rising water levels.

Daily life has come to a standstill as transport services are affected and residents face repeated challenges in reaching nearby towns and essential services. Locals say the situation has been worsening with the relentless downpour continuing through the region.

Authorities are keeping a close watch on the situation as they prepare for relief and restoration work once conditions improve.
