New Delhi, July 1: State-owned Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have reduced the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders by up to ₹183.50 across major cities, offering relief to restaurants, hotels, eateries, and other commercial establishments that rely on LPG for their daily operations.
The revised prices came into effect on July 1, with the largest reduction of ₹183.50 recorded in Delhi and Lucknow. Commercial LPG prices have also been lowered by ₹181.50 in Chandigarh, ₹174 in Kolkata, and ₹173 in Patna.
Following the revision, a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder will now cost ₹2,930 in Delhi, while the revised prices stand at ₹2,954.50 in Chandigarh, ₹3,081.50 in Kolkata, and ₹3,227 in Patna.
The price cut comes after a period of multiple hikes driven by volatility in global energy markets. The reduction is expected to ease operating costs for businesses in the hospitality and food service sectors.
Meanwhile, the price of the 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder remains unchanged, ensuring there is no impact on household consumers.
