28th February 2025: The Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT), in partnership with the State Transport Authority (STA), has launched a Residential Refresher Training program aimed at improving the driving skills and safety awareness of its captains. This initiative is designed to enhance the efficiency and safety of the public transport system.
The three-day training, held at HMV Driver Training Institutes in Chhatia, Berhampur, and Bonai, covers key areas such as defensive driving, accident prevention, and fuel-saving strategies. Participants will also receive first-aid training and learn about the latest BS6 technology related to vehicle emissions. Additionally, the program includes yoga and wellness sessions to support the physical and mental well-being of the drivers. This effort reflects CRUT’s commitment to maintaining a safe, efficient, and passenger-friendly transport system.
