Delegation from Indore Explores Odisha’s Achievements in Urban Water Management and Sustainable Systems

Indore, May 05:  A high-level delegation from the Indore Municipal Corporation visited Odisha to study the success of urban water sector reforms.
The team held a strategic consultation meeting at Unnati Bhawan with Usha Padhee, Additional Chief Secretary of the Housing and Urban Development Department.
The discussion focused on the implementation of the ‘Drink From Tap’ initiative and the success of the 24×7 water supply system managed by WATCO.
The delegation had earlier visited Puri, where they inspected water treatment plants and interacted directly with ‘Jala Sathis’ (community water workers).
The visit highlights Odisha’s growing recognition as a model for urban water management and safe drinking water initiatives.
