Development Activities Accelerate in Brajrajnagar Under the Efficient Guidance of the Revenue Minister

Jharsuguda,June 2:, Utkal Samaj: Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari has proved that lack of funds is not a barrier to the development of the Brajrajnagar Assembly constituency in Jharsuguda district. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, popularly known as the “People’s Chief Minister,” the government has opened the state treasury generously for the development of Jharsuguda district and the Brajrajnagar constituency.

Minister Suresh Pujari stated that development involving everyone, irrespective of political affiliation, is the core principle of the government, which remains dedicated to public service. Despite health-related challenges, the minister recently undertook a whirlwind tour of the Brajrajnagar constituency and inaugurated and laid foundation stones for hundreds of projects. Through these initiatives, roads, electricity connections, and surrounding infrastructure have improved significantly, taking the constituency to new heights of development. His contribution to Brajrajnagar’s progress has been described as unparalleled.

Under his leadership, several welfare initiatives are currently underway in the constituency. These include:

₹40 crore allocated for a modern bus stand in Brajrajnagar,
₹8 crore for Lakhanpur Panchayat,
₹8 crore for Kanaktora Panchayat,
and projects worth over ₹4 crore inaugurated and launched in different areas under the Jharsuguda Panchayat Samiti.
At Loisinha Bhoimunda, Minister Suresh Pujari inaugurated 34 projects worth ₹2.34 crore and laid foundation stones for 22 projects worth ₹2.56 crore under the Panchayat Samiti, along with hundreds of other projects across the Brajrajnagar constituency, creating what many describe as a rare example of large-scale development work.

In his address, the minister reiterated that the government remains committed to welfare-oriented governance. He informed that several developmental activities are being undertaken in the district using District Mineral Foundation (DMF) funds. By next January, sports grounds in the area will be developed and major improvements will be made in road connectivity to provide better transportation facilities for the people.

Highlighting educational transformation, the minister announced that all high schools in every gram panchayat would gradually be upgraded into +2 colleges. In the first phase, 38 panchayat high schools, including Rajpur High School, are being upgraded to the higher secondary (+2) level.

To accelerate rural development further, the minister declared that any written developmental proposals submitted by sarpanches would be implemented within the current year itself.
He emphasized that the government’s primary objective is the overall development of Odisha through the principle of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas” (Development for All with Everyone’s Support).

Making a major announcement in the field of social security and welfare, Minister Pujari said that by the end of this year, all landless poor families in the district would be provided with 4 decimals of land each for constructing their own homes.

He further stated that education, healthcare, and welfare schemes for the poor would be effectively implemented at the grassroots level, helping Brajrajnagar emerge as a model region in Odisha in the coming years.

Additionally, the minister has also sanctioned ₹266 crore for the long-awaited Jari-Muli bridge project under the Brajrajnagar constituency, further showcasing his administrative efficiency and commitment to public welfare.
