Puri, July 17 (UDN): A wave of devotion swept across Puri as Lord Balabhadra’s Taladhwaja and Devi Subhadra’s Darpadalana chariots reached Saradhabali near the Gundicha Temple during the ongoing Rath Yatra celebrations.
The historic moment brought immense joy among lakhs of devotees who gathered along the Grand Road to witness the sacred journey of the sibling deities. The surroundings echoed with chants of “Jai Jagannath” and “Hari Bol” as devotees celebrated the arrival of the two chariots with prayers and traditional rituals.
For many pilgrims, the occasion was a deeply emotional and spiritual experience as they caught a glimpse of the revered deities and participated in the centuries-old tradition of Rath Yatra. The arrival of Taladhwaja and Darpadalana added to the festive atmosphere, with devotees eagerly awaiting the arrival of Lord Jagannath’s Nandighosa chariot.
The administration continued to maintain elaborate arrangements for crowd management, security and public convenience to ensure the smooth conduct of the festival.
