District Administration Hosts Farmers’ Day Celebration in Kotpad to Recognize Farmers’ Role in Development

Kotpad, April 23: On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the District-Level Farmers’ Day was celebrated at the Kotpad Government Agricultural Farm under the aegis of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Empowerment, organized by the District Agriculture Department.
The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Kotpad MLA Rupu Bhatra as the chief guest, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Sasmita Meleka, Block Chairperson Kamala Bhatra, Additional District Magistrate Naresh Chandra Shabar, representative of the Nabarangpur MP Rameshwar Jena, Jeypore Block Chairperson Tilottama Muduli, Kotpad Block Vice-Chairman Tapan Kumar Panigrahi, Chief District Agriculture Officer Bhawani Shankar Mohapatra, Additional Agriculture Officer Dr. Parashuram Hial, Project Director (Watershed) Shiva Charan Jethi, Deputy Director of Coffee Board Pramod Behera, Koraput Agricultural Executive Engineer Satyanarayan Dash, Senior Scientist Binod Behera, Agriculture Representative Sushant Panigrahi, District Agriculture Officers Hemanta Kumar Padhihari, Lalatendu Mohapatra, and Sujata Nishanka.
During the program, a special Agriculture Rath (mobile awareness vehicle) and “Ama Beejan Rath” (seed distribution vehicle) were inaugurated.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by District Agriculture Officer Lalatendu Mohapatra.
