District Mason Workers’ Federation Addresses Media on Welfare, Rights and Employment Challenges of Workers

Umarkote, May 09:: A press conference was organised today by the Umarkote Rajmistri Maha Sangha and the Joint Trade Union in connection with the upcoming International Workers’ Day celebration on May 1.
District Rajmistri Maha Sangha President Bipin Nag attended the programme as chief guest. Vice-President Narasingha Nayak, District General Secretary Parshuram Nayak, Joint Secretary Rajesh Jani, Premabali Mangaraj, Sada Suna, Bhagarati Kachim, and Subas Suraj were present as distinguished guests during the press conference.
The main objective of the press meet was to inform and invite workers from all ten blocks of Nabarangpur district, including masons, carpenters, labourers, daily wage workers, women labourers, members of motor workers’ unions, auto drivers, bus staff, truck drivers and workers, motorcycle mechanics’ associations, kendu leaf collectors, and farmers’ organisations, to participate in the grand International Workers’ Day programme to be held at Umarkote on May 1.
As part of the celebration, a massive workers’ rally and procession will be organised from DNK Chhak to Gajapati Chhak in Umarkote at 11:30 AM on May 1. A large public meeting will also be held at Durgaguda.
During the press conference, all workers and union members were requested to participate actively and make the programme a grand success.
